In honor of the victims of 9/11 World Trade Center Disaster, and men, women, and dogs who worked tirelessly to serve this country in one of its lowest moments in history.
Yes, Osama bin Laden is dead.
We, at PawshPal, however will NOT celebrate this story.
Why? Martin Luther King said it best:
I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
Martin Luther King, Jr
What was Osama bin Laden’s message?
Hatred. Anger. Murder. Destruction.
If we, as society, find joy in his death, then how are we any different than the enemy himself?
If we do, we become the very thing we hate.
If we do, Osama won and the tens of thousands who died in the war and during WTC incident was in VAIN.
No. That’s not what we want.
PawshPal was started out of LOVE for animals, and THEIR unconditional love for us.

We need to give back the love that our four legged friends show us.
Including love for those that may anger us.
Darkness cannot be fought with more darkness. Only light can do that. That’s why learning to forgive is called “enlightenment”.
Instead of perpetrating more hate, anger, and resentment, we try to show the world what our best friend animals show us: compassion and love.
Instead spending all our precious time and energy in remembering the enemy, why don’t we remember the heroes that helped us when we needed them?
We’d like to take this moment to remember the honorable search and rescue dogs that helped us in grave time of need in 2001, when the World Trade Center fell and the history of mankind was forever changed.
Here are some screen shots of search & rescue dogs and their handlers from that fateful day.

God bless us all.
